Employer Sponsored Migration
In 2006-2007, more than 16 thousand skilled migrants were admitted to Australia after being sponsored by employers in these three categories (permanent visas):
Visas in these categories allow skilled workers and any dependent family members included in the application to live as permanent residents in Australia. As permanent residents, skilled workers have the right to receive subsidised health care, an opportunity to receive social security payments, and are eligible to sponsor others for permanent residence. They are also eligible for Australian citizenship subject to the residency eligibility criteria.
In addition to the permanent employer-sponsored visas, there are a number of temporary visa options. These can often be used as a first step toward obtaining permanent status.
Temporary Employer Sponsored Visa categories:
-
Temporary Business Long Stay
-
Temporary Labour Agreement
-
Service Sellers
-
Medical Practitioner visa
-
Educational visa
Each category and subclass has its own rules and regulations. Deciding which best suits your qualifications, finances and family situation is no easy task. That’s where Daniel & Associates can help. Our Visa Assessment services are designed to answer all your questions about visa requirements and can set you on the right path from the start.
